Murphy says reopening could stop if virus cases spike

Last week New Jersey restaurants and bars were allowed to re-open for outdoor dining. This past weekend large crowds enjoyed restaurants and bars for the first time since March. Some of those bars and restaurants had a hard time making sure there was proper social distancing. Many people in the outdoor crowds were not wearing masks. A bar in Morristown was shut down by local officials for not following social distancing guidelines. Videos have shown some bars and restaurants had problems following guidelines too. Yesterday at his corona virus briefing in Trenton Governor Murphy urged New Jersey bar and restaurant patrons not to "ruin it for everyone else." "The last thing any of us want to do it put our restart on hold. This can happen. We don't want it to happen." There was a slight increase in the number of Covid 19 patients in New Jersey hospitals yesterday.
