My "Happy there's a fair" Weekend in Pictures

The first weekend of The New Jersey State Fair was blessed with nice weather. It was great to see so many people out in the fresh air enjoying the food, the farm animals and rides. I was out at the fair with 1023 WSUS from noon to 4. It was nice to actually see everyone who came by in person to say hello. I take terrible selfies but I tried. My favorite place to visit at the New Jersey State Fair is the livestock pavilions. The best picture of me in this post was taken by one of the farm hands looking after to cows. I look good compared to the cows backsides. On Sunday it was time to catch up on everything else. I cleared away what was left of my cucumber garden and cleaned the pool. Next week I'll try a second planting of cucumber plants. Hopefully, I'll have more by late September before it gets too cold. On Sunday I used my air fryer for the first time in a while. I tried making boneless chicken thighs. I found a simple recipe and gave it a try. I sprinkled flour, salt, pepper, onion and garlic powder on the thighs. The sprayed them with cooking spray. Much less work than breading and egging They came out less greasy and more juicy. I'll probably make chicken thighs in the air fryer again soon. But I still love good old fashioned chicken cutlets too!
