Ocean City, New Jersey is gearing up for the 2024 beach season. The city has announced that it will start selling its 2024 beach tags this weekend. These tags, required for all beachgoers ages 12 and older, will be available for $30 through May 31st. The price will rise to $35 on June 1st.

The tags are in effect from June 1st through September 2nd, and can be purchased in person at several beach locales or online at store.ocnj.us. This initiative is part of the city’s efforts to maintain the safety and cleanliness of its eight miles of beautiful oceanfront beaches. The city has been selling beach tags since 1976.

Known as “America’s Greatest Family Resort”, Ocean City has many family-friendly policies. Smoking or vaping is against the law on all beaches and beach entrances. Dogs are not permitted on the beach at any time between May 1 and Sept. 30, and drinking alcohol on the beach or in public is strictly prohibited. In addition to the main beaches, visitors can also explore other beach areas such as Corson’s Inlet State Park and Longport Dog Beach.
