A recent survey conducted by The Athletic has found that NFL players consider MetLife Stadium, one of the largest stadiums in the NFL with a capacity of 82,500, to be the worst in the league. The survey, which included responses from 85 players, described the stadium as “lame” and criticized not only the fans but also the overall atmosphere of the stadium.

MetLife Stadium, located in East Rutherford is home to the New York Giants and New York Jets of the National Football League. Despite its impressive size and the fact that it was the most expensive stadium built in the United States at the time of its completion in 2010 with a cost of approximately $1.6 billion, the survey shows that the players are not impressed.

On the other hand, Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City emerged as the top-rated stadium according to the players surveyed. Arrowhead was also completed in 2010 at a cost of $43 million, and serves as host to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Despite the negative feedback, MetLife Stadium continues to host significant events. It is set to serve as a host stadium for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. In 2024, the stadium is scheduled to host concerts from Morgan Wallen, The Rolling Stones, George Strait, and Luke Combs.
