An inaugural New Year's Eve Celebration promises to light up the town of Hackettstown in Warren County. The event, a collaborative effort between the town, its police department, the Hackettstown Business Improvement District, and other local businesses, is the first formal community New Year's Eve event in the town in recent history.

The celebration will take place in downtown Hackettstown, centered on the intersection of Main Street and Grand Avenue. Starting at 9:00pm, local businesses will be offering dining specials, live music, games, and more, leading up to the end of 2023.

The growing restaurant and brewery scene in Hackettstown will be in full force with various specials, live music, and extended hours from the likes of James On Main, Mama's Cafe Baci, Toscana, Grand Avenue Tavern, Man Skirt Brewing, Czig Meister Brewing, and more.

The evening will culminate with a countdown to the new year with ab M&M’S® lentil drop at midnight. Hackettstown is the US home of Mars Wrigley, the makers of M&M's candies.

Street closures will be in effect from around 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2023, until 2:00 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 1, 2024. Main Street, West Moore Street, East Moore Street, High Street, and Grand Avenue will all be affected. No parking zones will also be in place starting at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2023, until 1:00 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 1, 2024.

Free parking will be available on all streets and municipal lots, and attendees are encouraged to park in the municipal lots and side streets.
