I've been telling you how I'm road tripping and getting ready to have a child head out of state to college, right? Well, while getting ready for one to leave, this letter comes in the mail yesterday for the youngest child. First acceptance letter!! yahoo!
The fear set in as soon as I read the letter wondering how I'll handle this financially. The College Solultion http://www.thecollegesolution.com/when-two-children-head-to-college/ has some great help tips to relax us parents who are dealing with two or more kids in college at the same time. I think you'll find them very helpful.
Now, any ideas on how to cure the empty nest blue? =( Stay Tuned
This is the part where I’m supposed to tell you about myself. I fell in love with music and married it when I was about 6. It’s all I’ve ever wanted to do for as long as I can remember, it’s my passion.
I don’t pick favorites because I love and listen to all genres of music. I grew up on the 50’s and gravitated to what is now called “classic rock” such as Def Leppard, Crue, and others as I became a teen.
I was always awkward as a kid and in school, when other girls were playing with dolls I was playing “DJ” with my head phones and turn table. Was on the yearbook staff as a photographer in HS. Went to college for business, left to marry and have a family. I am the proud mom of 2 amazing men, which I know you’ve been reading about in my blog as they venture off on their lives.
I went back to college to finish my degree in radio, film and TV. I interned here with iheart media on 103.7 WNNJ in 2012. Went on host the overnight show on 1023 WSUS, where you can hear me jammin to everything from the 80’s to now. I love going to concerts and taking my kids with me every chance I can. Live music is like a religious experience.
That’s about it, anything else you wanna know? Just ask.
