So many things seem to cost more in Jersey than other states unless it's gas, right? Divorce rates are 46%, at least down from 49%. Nolo has come out with a study, showcasing the top ten most expensive states to go through a divorce, and New Jersey comes in 6th. As you can imagine, legal fees tend to make up most of these expenses. As I expected, the study does mention that states with higher cost of living tend to follow suit with higher divorce costs.
