Neighbors gave 56 year old Joe Rebisz of Newton keys to home so he could take care of their dogs when they went away. Rebisz took care of the dogs and also set up a hidden camera in their bathroom so he could make a video of a 13 year old in the shower. Yesterday in the courtroom of Judge Thomas Critchley Rebisz admitted he set up the camera last April. Fortunately, the family discovered the camera right away and confronted Rebisz. No video was ever taken. He plead guilty to second degree attempted criminal endangering/filming a child in a prohibited sexual act. Rebisz will undergo a psychological evaluation at the Adult Diagnostic and Treatment Center in Avenel before his sentencing. His defense attorney plans to argue for probation instead of additional jail time. Rebisz will have to register as a sex offender.
