Wedding traditions you might not see at a millennial wedding

These days I go to a wedding once or twice a year. When I'm invited by the friends my kids grew up with I'm very honored. When I got married 30 years ago every wedding had the same traditional activities. Back then I didn't like going to weddings because I thought some of the traditions were pretty lame. These days it's great that millennial couples are getting married in a more relaxed enjoyable way. Here are some things you might not see at your next wedding. Not seeing each other until the ceremony. Grooms these days stop in to see the bride while she's doing her make up. I like this idea. This way you know she's still plans to be there. Single gender bride and groom parties. If you've been good friends with someone your whole life why should they be excluded? Flower crowns are replacing veils. I totally concur. Matching bridesmaid dresses. I always thought the matching dresses were nice. Bridal registries aren't happening much anymore either. This is fine. Give money instead. Only 32 percent of weddings now have a garter toss. I don't miss participating in that at all. The bouquet toss has gone away too. This is a good thing. I've seen to many single women rolling around on the floor trying to wrestle the bouquet away from each other. Traditional wedding cakes are being replaced by beautiful cupcakes. I saw this for the first time at a wedding this year and loved it. Just go up and take as many cupcakes as you want!
