Thanksgiving Weekend is always one of my favorite weekends of the year. Cook a big meal on Thanksgiving and eat left overs the rest of the way. There are good sales and some extended relaxation time. Wednesday night I tried making cheeseburger sliders for the first time. I knew I'd be eating poultry the rest of the week. The sliders were great. Thanksgiving we had a relaxing turkey dinner. I roasted a turkey but only made a few sides. The funniest part of the day was watching my dog Maddie watching the National Dog Show on T.V. after the parade. I kept telling her: "See some dogs know how to be good." On Friday I did a very busy live broadcast at Toyota World of Newton. Since Thanksgiving came late this year I decided to put up the Christmas Tree on Saturday. My grand daughter Gracie turned 4 this month and she was so excited to help. She was fascinated by the ornaments and lights. She lined up all of her Barbie Dolls to show them the tree. All of this was going on while we waited for my daughter Kim to tell us it was time to deliver baby number 2. She is due any day now. I also found a giant coloring book I saved from 20 years ago and gave it to Gracie. Kim has been coloring to ease her anxiety. Maybe I should give it a try.
