My "Christmas Recap" in pictures

I've been off since Christmas Eve. So it's time to catch up with everyone who listens to the WSUS Morning Show and checks out my page. First of all I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas or Chanukah. My Christmas celebration actually stretched over 3 days. We had Christmas Eve Dinner at my son Matt's house. The rib roast came out perfect. I did help with the preparation and recipe. We had amazing gourmet cupcakes for dessert. Then I was honored to light the advent candles during Christmas Eve Service at the United Methodist Church in Matamoras. Christmas morning my grand daughter Gracie opened some presents and then we headed to Long Island. So Gracie could open more presents with her dad's family. I went to my cousin Deirdre's house for our third annual "Cousins Christmas." I celebrated with 5 of my cousins and some second cousins. Then enjoyed Christmas Dinner with my cousins Roger, John and Bronwyn. Of course, it's our family tradition to sit up all night and talk. Just like we did at grandma's house 40 years ago. That's exactly what we did. We also took out our 200 year old family bible and my cousins shared what they learned from th website "23 and Me." They discovered an uncle in St. Louis who is in his 90's. We hadn't talked to him in 20 years. It was wonderful to find out he was still alive and doing very well. The day after Christmas we had breakfast at a local diner and we drove home. I called my Uncle Stuart in St. Louis that night with the phone number his grand daughter gave us. He was so happy to hear for me. Another branch of my dad's large family has reconnected thanks to the internet. I think Gracie's favorite gift was her new recliner. My favorite gift was new cologne. I was in desperate need of a new scent.
