I usually have a tough time coming up with a theme for my "Weekend in Pictures" posts. This morning I thought I'd have a tough time but then I realized I went to a lot of places but stayed within 5 miles of my home. Before the actual weekend, I was interviewed by a group of fifth graders from DVE-TV Friday Morning. DVE-TV is Delaware Valley Elementary School's T.V. club. The kids watched me in the WSUS Morning Show studio between 9 and 10 while I answered all their questions. All of us had a great time. To keep with our theme, Delaware Valley Elementary is less than a mile from my house. On Friday night Kim took Gracie for the free swim at Delaware Valley High School. It's really a nice thing for the kids in the school district. Saturday morning Kim and I took Gracie to Foundry 42 in Port Jervis for their free "story time." Foundry 42 is a coffee shop, bakery and they sell a few home items. It's a nice thing a local business is doing for kids. Gracie had fun, mommy enjoyed a fresh baked cookie and grandpa enjoyed the fresh coffee. So it wasn't exactly free but everything was really good! Then it was off to do some food shopping. Corned Beef is on sale now for St. Patrick's Day. I'll be filling my freezer and baking a couple more as we get closer to March 17th. When we got home a box with 3 replacement cereal bowls for my set of dishes had arrived. The amount of packaging for 3 bowls was crazy. We worry about plastic shopping bags but we don't worry about where all the waste from shipping everything to our doorsteps goes. Are we really that worried about our environment? It makes no sense to me. This weekend I continued to binge watch "The Ranch" on Netflix. They eat a lot of T-Bone steak on the show. Since I'm not a rancher, we had gourmet cheeseburgers this weekend instead. I call them gourmet because of the special seasoning and fresh deli American cheese. When I stopped at Walmart in Milford I was shocked to see the shelves where toilet paper and hand sanitizer should be almost wiped out. People here have actually joined in the coronavirus panic. I think it's ridiculous. Just wash your hands with soap and leave enough toilet paper for your neighbors. Everything is fine!
