Coronavirus Update: N.J. N.Y. Pa March 23 2020

The number of coronavirus cases in New Jersey reached 1,900 yesterday. There are now 15 cases in Sussex County. There have been 20 deaths statewide. New York State now has 10,000 cases. Most are in New York City, There have been 117 deaths. Statewide Pennsylvania now has 470 cases. Three people have died. On Saturday Governor Murphy closed all "non-essential" retail businesses statewide. All residents of New Jersey have been ordered to stay home until further notice. Here's what we are still allowed to do: Obtain essential goods and services, seek medical attention, visiting close friends and family, report to work and engage in outdoor activities.

Business that are still allowed to be open are: Grocery stores, farmers markets and farms that sell directly to customers. Along with other food stores that offer foods comparable to grocery stores. Pharmacies, Medical Marijuana Dispensaries and Medical Supply Stores. Ancillary stores within healthcare facilities. Gas Stations, Convenience Stores, Hardware and Home Improvement Stores, Banks and Financial Institutions, Laundromats and Dry Cleaners. Stores that sell supplies for children under 5. Pet Stores, Liquor Stores, Printing and Office Supply Stores, Mail and Delivery Stores. Car Dealerships can stay open for auto repair and auto maintenance.
