Last week the U.S. Surgeon General was urging people not to wear face masks. I suspect because he wanted to make sure we had enough for healthcare workers. Then on Friday there was a complete reversal. Now our government officials are saying covering our mouth and nose with a mask is a good idea. Though it's not required. Yesterday I noticed about half of the people I saw shopping at a local supermarket were wearing some kind of face mask. So I decided to search for an easy way to make a face mask from things most of us already have at home. One of my sons likes bandannas and my daughter has about a thousand hair ties.
