My kids always ask me what I want for Father's Day and I never really know what to tell them. I've reached a point in life where I'm content with what I have and don't need anything expensive. On Father's Day I always feel very blessed to have them. On Saturday I went to the supermarket to pick up a few items and I was shocked. The parking lot was empty. I think many people ate out this weekend. Saturday night my son Matt and his fiance' Jess invited me and Denise over for a very nice dinner from a local restaurant. It was great to just sit, talk and relax. Kim and Jimmy went to Long Island for the weekend. They got back late Sunday and we made steaks on the grill. They were delicious. While Kim was unpacking I fed Christopher his dinner. I don't hold him enough. During the week I'm so tired when I get home. Yesterday it was very nice not to feel tired. My son James came by for a little while after work. While he was there Matt stopped by so we all spent a little time together and took our annual Father's Day picture. Matt's pink shorts had all of us laughing. A friend of his in Sweden sent them to him. Crazy colored shorts are very trendy in Europe right now. I got some nice shorts too. A little more reserved color wise. I was wearing them in the picture. My other gifts included a new belt, socks, gourmet ice cream sandwiches and a nose hair clipper. The nose hair clipper is much appreciated. The one I had broke last month. The hair where I don't want it has been driving me crazy. I hope all of you had a wonderful Father's Day.
