Mystery seeds from China arriving at New Jersey homes

A few days ago I told you about "mystery" seeds in Chinese packaging arriving at homes in several states across the country. The people who received the seeds did not order them and had no idea who sent them. State and Federal Agriculture officials have been warning people about the potential danger of the seeds. Urging people not to plant them because they could be harmful to local agriculture. Yesterday, NJ.COM reported the mystery seeds from China started to arrive at homes in New Jersey. Robert Popescu, an attorney who lives in Marlboro found a package of the seeds on his front steps on Tuesday and reported it to the New Jersey Department of Agriculture right away. If you receive a package that looks like its seeds or jewelry from China here's what you should do: Take a picture of the package and notify agriculture officials in your state. Do not plant he seeds and if they are in a sealed package don't open it. The U.S.D.A says the packages are what is called "agricultural smuggling." They are asking residents to safely store the packages and wait for instructions from government officials. So far three packages of the mystery seeds have arrived in New Jersey.
