Pennsylvania Health Secretary Dr. Racheal Levine announced brand new COVID-19 related restrictions on state residents yesterday. Her order includes a "universal" order to wear masks indoors. Individuals will be required to wear masks in their own homes when people who live outside the household are present as well as outdoors when social distancing is not possible. Pennsylvania residents who travel to another state for reasons other than commuting to work will be required to take a COVID-19 test 72 hours before re-entering the state. Those who do not take a test will have to quarantine for 14 days. Levine said: "We really want people to stay at home, to stay in their household and not to travel. Levine went on to say; "We have no plans to be checking people as they come off airplanes or drive into Pennsylvania." In spite of all the requirements that have been in place for months Pennsylvania set a new record of 5,900 new COVID cases yesterday. Does this make any sense to you? They're not going to check people at airports or in cars heading into Pennsylvania because there aren't enough people to do it. Also, how do they plan to enforce the requirement that we wear masks in our homes when we have guests over? Will state health department officials be standing on every doorstep?
