If you've cooked a big turkey because you like the leftovers that's great. There's no problem with sharing some of your turkey with your pet as long as the meat is boneless and well cooked. I always give my dog the boneless parts of the turkey that fall off while I'm carving and some of the dark meat. Plain vegetable dishes like green beans, rice and potatoes are fine too. It's OK to give your pets pumpkin but not if there's too much sugar mixed with it. Now the no no's. If the dish contains cheese, sour cream, onions, butter or gravy you should not give it to your dog or cat. Some Thanksgiving foods that can actually get your pet seriously sick include garlic, onions, grapes, raisins, casseroles and stuffings.
