United Van Lines just released their 44th annual "Movers Study" and for the third year in a row New Jersey was the top state people were moving out of. The moving company says 70 percent of the moves in New Jersey were outbound. The top state people are moving to is Idaho. The reasons people are moving to Idaho include low cost of living, low crime and plenty of outdoor recreation. The other top 5 states where people are moving were: South Carolina, Oregon, South Dakota and Arizona. The other states making the top of the list of states people are moving out of were: New York, Illinois, Connecticut and California. The top cities people were moving out of were New York City, Newark and Chicago. Meanwhile, Wilmington, North Carolina and Boise, Idaho are the cities most people are moving into. Based on what's been happening in New Jersey recently I don't see much of a change in the future. Which is pretty sad.
