As her mother said in her nomination e-mail: "Emily McCallum is an incredibly well rounded student athlete." She is a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish and English Honor Societies. She has won many medal running track and has plays clarinet in Wallkill Valley Regional High School's orchestra. All 4 years in high school she has been a class officer as well. Emily's many talents and leadership qualities led to her nomination for West Point by Congressman Gottheimer. She recently found out she has been accepted. Emily has also been accepted at Georgetown with a full scholarship. So she has some very important decisions to make. Her goal is to become an army intelligence officer. Transoptions and Visions Federal Credit Union have both awarded Emily with $50 gift cards. It was great meeting Emily and her mom Susan this morning.
