Yesterday Governor Murphy announced more steps to reopen New Jersey. Sussex/Warren/Morris State Senator Steve Oroho reacted to the announcement by saying it "falls short" of expectations. The governor said outdoor gatherings can be up to 500 people and outdoor sports and entertainment venues can operate at 50 percent capacity starting May 10th. Indoor catering events like proms and weddings will be able to operate at 50 percent capacity with a maximum of 250 people in two weeks as well. Masks and social distancing will still be required at indoor events. In a press release soon after the governor's announcement Senator Oroho said: "the major reopening announcement teased over the weekend by Governor Phil Murphy fell short once the details were released today." The release went on to say: "Governor Murphy doesn't seem to understand that people are sick and tired of reopening announcements that don't include an actual reopening. There's nothing major about being meek, especially when other states across the nation have rescinded their limits in full and are getting back to living."
