The Transportation Security Administration announced a new pandemic era high for on day travel yesterday. More than 1.7 million people passed through TSA check points at U.S. airports on Mother's Day. That broke the record set on Friday by about 4,500. Airport crowds were still 29 percent less than Mother's Day Weekend in 2019. The good news is air travel has been steadily on the rise since Easter. The airline industry says most people flying right now are leisure travelers on domestic flights. A new Trip Advisor poll found 61 percent of Americans who did not take a trip last year are now planning to travel in 2021.
