Delaware Water Gap National Park is getting ready for a busy summer

Our nation's national parks are great treasures. So far I have visited only a few of them. The one I enjoyed the most was Acadia National Park in Maine. One day after I retire I plan to drive out west and visit many more of them. In our area we are very fortunate to have another beautiful national park. Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area was visited by 4.1 million people last year. That was good enough to make the top 10 list for the first time last year. The National Park Service covers 423 units so the top 10 is pretty impressive. Park Superintendent Sula Jacobs says her staff will be ready for the expected crowds starting Memorial Day. "This summer, our visitors will see our staff stationed at busy sights throughout the park where we can best serve the public's needed. She said visitors should plan ahead so they have the best experience. The park's website is www.nps.gov/DelWaterGapNPS.
