There's always work to do around the house every weekend. Since I had two extra days I did a few extra things. Everything I did was at my own pace. Which is always very nice. I also got to relax and spend extra time with my grand kids. Christopher climbed up on my lap to share some Italian ice Sunday Night. On Monday morning I took him to Home Depot and the bank. Monday afternoon we were relaxing on the deck and he decided to climb under my patio table and hang upside down. He is a character! In the kitchen this weekend I made bacon in the air fryer for the first time. Which came out perfect. I made the bacon Saturday morning and left it in the fridge to make grilled cheese with bacon and tomato sandwiches for dinner. Over the course of the day my family kept picking at the bacon. They were nice enough to leave me 4 strips for a sandwich. I planted another round of cucumbers in my garden. Then made cucumber salad with the last few cucumbers I picked from the first planting. My sunflower finally bloomed too. She's about 12 feet tall. I'm very excited about growing even more next year. My son Matt and daughter in law Jess left for their honeymoon early Sunday Morning. They've been sending us pictures from Antigua. We face timed yesterday too. This was my extended weekend to stay home and chill. Next week I'll be off Monday and Tuesday as well. I'll be hitting the road. Hopefully, I'll have some nice pictures to share.
