My "Memories old and new" Weekend in Pictures

When I left work on Friday my only goal was to get the outside of my house back in shape. Much needed to be done after going on vacation for a few days. I got caught up at work on Wednesday and Thursday. This weekend I had to mow both the back and front yards, clean the pool and power wash the house. I also thoroughly detailed the inside of my car. Which was a mess after we used it to go on vacation last week. All this so I can go away again for a couple of days this coming Labor Day Weekend. Kim's boyfriend power washed. While I mowed and took care of the pool. This weekend also included some wonderful unplanned events. Like Uncle Matt and Aunt Jess taking Miss Gracie out for ice cream and back to school shopping. Their new puppy Nala came along. I really enjoyed playing with her in the front yard. Watching the New York Mets finally retire Jerry Koosman's number on Saturday was pretty emotional for me. I was only 8 years old when my dad took me to my first Mets game at Shea Stadium on April 19th, 1970. It was a double header with the Phillies. The Mets starting pitchers were Jerry Koosman and Nolan Ryan. I kept the Mets yearbook dad bought me that day for all these years. I took it out yesterday because I thought it would be nice to share some pictures.
