I've visited the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial in Washington D.C. several times. I thought it was very important that I take all of my kids to the memorial as well. Seeing each of the names of the 58,000 troops lost in Vietnam was one of the most powerful and moving experiences of my life. Each name on the wall was a human being with a life and family who loved them. Next week a half scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial will arrive in Sussex County. All of the more than 58,000 names on the memorial in Washington are also on the "Moving Wall." Veteran motorcycle groups and local police will greet and escort the wall when it arrives in Sussex County on Wednesday. The wall will be in Newton Wednesday night. Then go on a tour of some Sussex County schools on Thursday. Traveling to the Hampton Plaza. Then through Newton and over to Sparta along Newton Sparta Road. The wall will be set up on the football field next to Woodbourne Park in Wantage after it tours the county. It will remain on the football field though Sunday September 12th.
