The Flu is making a comeback in New Jersey right now

The Flu was almost non-existent for the two years COVID was on the rise. Now that the pandemic has started to ease. The Flu is making a late season comeback. Hospitals and doctors across New Jersey are reporting thousands of people coming in with flu like symptoms. The New Jersey Department of Health reported over 18,000 cases of the flu in mid April. Many more cases are actually out there but not reported. The flu season usually peaks in the winter. One doctor told the Asbury Park Press now that masks are off there's a better chance of spreading respiratory illnesses. My daughter has the flu right now. She told me she feels much worse than she did with COVID. On a positive note, it looks like the late flu season peaked a couple of weeks ago.
