NJ Ranks For Worst Commute Times Nationwide

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, New Jerseyans have the 3rd longest average commute time in the nation, with an average of 30 minutes spent traveling to work. This is an increase from the previous year’s average of 29 minutes. New York and Maryland take the top two spots, with commuters taking 33 and 30 minutes respectively.

The national average commute time is 26.4 minutes. However, Wyoming has the best commute times in the country, with drivers taking an average of just 18 minutes to get to work.

Longer commute times can have a significant impact on people’s lives. Commuting can be stressful and can lead to negative health outcomes such as increased anxiety and depression. Additionally, longer commutes can lead to decreased productivity and job satisfaction.
