Aldi, the national discount grocery chain, has issued a warning to its customers in New Jersey about a scam involving card skimming devices. The company recently discovered that scammers had targeted its stores in Roselle and Union Township since the start of the year.
The scammers placed the skimming devices on card readers at checkout terminals, potentially gaining access to customers' payment information, including names, card numbers, expiration dates, pins, and security codes. Aldi has since removed the card skimmers and informed law enforcement about the issue.
Customers who used their debit or credit cards at the affected checkout terminals are advised to contact their credit card provider immediately. Aldi has provided more information about the issue on their website.
