A winning Mega Millions ticket worth $1.13 billion, sold in New Jersey three months ago, remains unclaimed. The ticket, sold at a Shoprite Liquor Store in Neptune Township, is the largest prize in the state's history. The winning numbers are 11, 22, 7, 29, and 38, with 4 as the Mega Ball number.
New Jersey lottery officials have issued a news release urging the winner to sign the back of the ticket, make copies, seek professional legal and financial advice, and file a claim. The winner has the option to remain anonymous. However, the ticket will expire in nine months if not claimed.
"We think it's unusual for such a large prize to go unclaimed for this long," said a spokesperson for the New Jersey Lottery. "We're urging everyone who bought a ticket in the area to check their numbers and come forward if they have the winning ticket."
