Talk about an amazing weekend! I had the honor of officiating my third wedding at Mohawk House in Sparta. I'm so honored Denise and Nick let me be a part of their special day. It's really funny how interesting life can become. I never thought I would end up officiating weddings. The amount of times I have been to Mohawk House over the years, never imagining that I would be officiating a wedding there.
Friday night I kept things pretty low key watching and cheering on the New York Mets playoff game. It was so much fun cheering them on with my Met fan friends at The Irish Cottage Inn in Franklin. Congratulations to my rival New York Yankees for making it to The World Series. Hopefully my Red Sox are back in the dance next year. While I can never root for the Yankees, I can root for my friends to be happy.
Saturday morning it was time to get ready for the wedding. I've been friends with Denise and Nick for several years. Full circle, Denise's brother Matt was one of the very first friends I ever made here almost 11 years ago. Still tough to believe in the past 13 months I have now officiated 3 weddings! WOW. I never expected that. I've had so many wonderful memories at Mohawk House and Industry in Sparta over the years. Still tough for me to believe that I can add officiating a wedding at Mohawk House to my memories.
What a gorgeous day we had for the outside wedding! It was in Mohawk House's beautiful outdoor area. It was so fun getting to see several friends who I usually get to hang out with every year. I felt like I was part of the family during this amazing wedding. I'll cross my fingers that we got enough information correct on their wedding license. These licenses can apparently be intimidating and confusing! The ceremony went great with the absolutely gorgeous weather.
Saturday I had an early chill night in. Officiating weddings can take a lot out of you! Plus with my New England Patriots being the 9:30am game in London, it made all the more sense for me to just stay in. Yes, I watched the New England Patriots be awful in their game against Jacksonville Jaguars. Absolutely painful to watch.
Between the Patriots, and my fantasy football teams, football isn't making me too happy these days!
Overall it was a wonderful weekend that I'll never forget. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my Epic Weekend In Pictures. Time to start planning next weekend!
