The weather was perfect for our Christmas Music Kick Off Celebration at Industry Kitchen and Bar Saturday Afternoon. The Merriam Avenue School Chorus and Sussex Christian School Chorus were wonderful. Many families came out for the free pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus. I got my free picture too. I also made an attempt to get Mr. Steve Allan on the naughty list this year. When I reported him to Mrs. Claus she said with chagrin: "I was afraid of that." Steve and I did kick off the Christmas Season on 1023 WSUS with the other great members of our I Heart Team. I hope you enjoy all the pictures below. My weekend also included brand new pictures of my grand daughter Charlotte. I also found a family heirloom that I believed was misplaced. On Friday my son James asked me if he could see the gold cross my father gave me when I was 13. His request and interest came as a surprise. I had to think for a while about where it was. Have you ever put something away for safe keeping and forgotten where you put it? Luckily, after looking in several different places I found it. It is a beautiful cross that I last wore at my son Matt's wedding. My dad passed away before any of my children could know him. When I give that cross to James he will have a connection to the grandpa he never knew.
