I hit a deer on Route 23 in Wantage around 4AM last Friday. It's rut season and the deer heard is on the move. The deer literally ran into the side of my Jeep! I still made it to work but it was very upsetting. As we head into the busiest time of year for radio. This was the last thing I needed to happen. Slowly but surely last week got better. My insurance company has arranged for the Jeep to be repaired and for me to have a rent a car. Hopefully, sometime next week I'll have $500 less in my checking account but my life will be back to normal. This weekend I decided to try to relax. We watched all the episodes of "Wayward" on Netflix. I didn't think it was worth it. Although the ending was a surprise. I also moved all the summer flower pots off the front porch and straightened up the kitchen. When I was working in the pantry I found a big round container of oatmeal. We bought it a few months ago and forgot it was there. I never realized making basic oatmeal was so easy. Boil the water and add the oats. After five minutes in the water they're done. Add the cinnamon and sugar for oatmeal my way. Instead of having a fast food breakfast 3 or 4 times a week. I'm going to try getting into a routine of heart healthy oatmeal. Then yesterday I treated myself to a T-Bone steak!
