I managed to take a couple of days off between Christmas and New Years Day this week. Our destinations were Urban Air Indoor Amusement Park at the Galleria in Middletown and Aquatopia Indoor Water Park in Tannersville. My grandson is finally tall enough to drive a go cart by himself. He struggled in the beginning. By the end of the day he was driving like all the other kids who were older than him. He loved the trampolines, dodge ball and foam pit too. We both said it was one of our "best days." On Tuesday I took Gracie, Chris and Kim to Aquatopia Indoor Water Park in Tannersville. My grand daughter had a fantastic time. She loved the slides and wave pool. I kept up with the little 6 year old boy as he tried everything. Not bad for a guy my age. We had another great day! New Year's Eve was pretty quiet. Grandma and grandpa took Christopher to Perkins for an early dinner. He had a cheeseburger with ketchup and we shared a chocolate milk shake. No one stayed up to watch the ball drop. I forgot to defrost the prime rib for New Year's Day. So I went out and bought fresh prime rib burgers. They were delicious. I guess I'll make the actual prime rib soon. Our Christmas decorations are still up. Maybe I'll get started taking them down this weekend.
