When you'll benefit most from a cup of coffee

According to researchers at Boston College the best time of the day to have your coffee is when you need it most. If you're a morning person you usually hit a wall around 3 in the afternoon so that's the best time for you. If you're not a morning person it's better to have your coffee after you wake up.  If you have your coffee at the time of day you have the most energy it's not going to help you much. So for some of us it might be wise to wait. Since I am out of bed at 3AM most days I usually have two cups of coffee each day about 12 hours apart. My first cup is at 3:30 in the morning. Then I'll usually have another cup for an afternoon pick me up around 3PM. Which I never finish but reheat in the microwave 3 or 4 times.  Only a few sips of coffee in the afternoon boost my energy so I think that's probably when it helps me the most.  Pretty interesting.
