Last month on one of my blogs I mentioned it was National Blueberry Month; well, this month another fruit takes the limelight as August is National Peach Month. In 1982 then President Reagan proclaimed August "Peach Month" and urged the people of the United States to include the nutritious fruit part of their diets. The most peaches are grown in California which produces about half of the U.S. crop. So have a juicy and tasty peach as a snack or dessert. Even though there is only about a week left of National Peach Month, you can still have that peach after August.
