Harry Styles Donated More Than $1 Million to Charities During Solo Tour

Harry Styles just completed his first ever solo world tour, and though there were many notable moments—helping a fan come out in San Jose, covering his guitar with anti-gun violence stickers in Dallas, running around the stage waving a "Make America Gay Again" flag in Philadelphia—perhaps the most poignant was something that happened offstage.

According to Variety, the former One Direction member sold one million tickets across 89 shows during his 10-month outing, and the proceeds, combined with contributions from promoter Live Nation and the GLSEN PRIDE campaign, donated $1.2 million to 62 charities around the globe. You can find a full list of charities on Harry Styles' official website.

Aside from these acts of kindness, the 24-year-old pop star also helped promote voter registration non-profit HeadCount, registering hundreds of fans. He also encouraged water conservation on tour by saving the equivalent of 10,000 single-use water bottles by fans and 3,200 by the band and crew.

On Monday (July 16), the "Sign of the Times" singer wrapped up tour with a heartfelt Instagram post to his fans.

"Kissy. Thank you for coming out to see us, it has been a pleasure playing for you all. I'm off to write some more music and I hope I'll be seeing you again very soon," he wrote alongside a pouty-lipped, rose-colored-glasses clad photo of himself.
