Vernon Sewing Machine Shop Closing Its Doors

After servicing Sussex County's sewing machines for 17 years, Perfect Timing Sewing Machine Co. is closing its doors and going mobile.

It first opened in 2001 and over time went from being a quilt shop to a sewing machine sales and service shop. Instead of driving to the quaint blue building by the railroad tracks on Route 94, customers can call the shop to set up a house call.

Along with servicing and repairing sewing machines, Perfect Timing Sewing Machine Co. offers scissor and knife sharpening and they sew patches for motorcycle clubs, Scouts and law enforcement.

The store will be open through July 28.
