Tap Into Sparta is reporting that Sparta Board Of Education has reportedly has approved funding for armed guards in school. Safety in our schools has been at the top of our minds as we've seen far too many recent school shooting tragedies. A few months ago Sparta introduced us to a new security system they were implementing requiring all visitors to swipe their identification at a kiosk in the lobby entrance. I love that Sparta educators worked hand in hand with Sparta Police Department on this every step of the way. In these times, it will likely take the team work of many to keep our schools safe. I can't believe Columbine happened during my high school years, and all of these terrible tragedies have happened since over the past 20 years.
