Fidelity has released a survey that I find very encouraging. Fewer parents are giving their kids a free ride through college, and I shout YES! Granted the number of parents paying for their kids is still the majority. The number of parents saving for college only went down from 72% to 70%, pretty minimal. The numbers that do encourage me is parents expecting to pay in full for their kids has dropped from 43% to 29%! Not to sound like a grumpy old man here, but parents do not owe their kids a college tuition. I went to Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts from 2000-2004, and worked 40 hours a week while going to school full time. I picked a school that I could afford, and commuted all four years. From High School to College, my grades improved. I learned that in many life situations, you should get out of it what you put into it. Granted, the radio classes definitely helped my GPA. I never felt smart in school until we took radio courses, lol. The answer is Adele! After your parents do so much for you in 18 years of life, do they also owe you a college education? NO WAY!

Meet Buddha, my Adopt A Pet Of The Week! Poor little Buddha is an 8 year old local owner surrender from Sparta. My first ever pug!!! I think Sparkfire would be a more accurate name than Buddha, lol. Buddha is a classic pug with that snout, often sounds like he's snoring. Garret from Father John's Animal House in Lafayette was worried about me tripping over him when my back was turned and he wanted to lay down by my feet. I told him not to worry, you hear Buddha way before you even see him! This guy loves making new friends and running around everyone nonstop. He's full of energy and love. Let's help this rescued buddy of mine help find his new Furever Family please! You can contact Father John's to find out more about sweet little Buddha! Watch our Facebook live video and fall in love!
