NJ Dairy Farms Are Closing At Major Rate

New Jersey dairy farms are reportedly closing at an alarming rate and are in a crisis.  This is very troubling given how many local farms we have in Sussex County.  I have several farmer friends, and they're impressive people.  The things I've learned ever since moving to The Garden State.  Farmers never take days off, even when it's cold, rainy, or extremely hot and miserable.  At one point we reportedly had 500 dairy farms, now we're down to just 47 as farmers are losing money on the milk they sell.  Unfortunately I don't see many solutions in this well written article that you can see here from NJ Monthly.  How can we help our farmer friends?  I'm not sure exactly how to help with solutions, hopefully this spreads some awareness.  I'll start buying as much beef as I can from them, that's for sure.
