Local Schools In Sussex County Facing Tough Cuts Due To New Budget

Tough times in Vernon. We've reported on how due to Governor Murphy's new budget, most schools in Sussex County will be losing some state funding aid. Population has been decreasing for nearly twenty years, and Governor Murphy's new budget will result in less funding for most of our local towns. Vernon school officials are now warning of upcoming cuts in services in addition to potential tax hikes. Vernon's annual budget of $24 million might shrink to $14 million, adjusting to the new systems and declining population. You can see all about this story from our friends at NJ Herald here . Hopefully we can find a way to get more funding from the state of New Jersey while exercising sound fiscal responsibility.

Can social media actually help your relationship ? I have said for years to everyone who complains about social media frustrations, the problem isn't social media. Usually, it's people who are honestly the problem! Is it social media that can be annoying, or people on social media who are being annoying? Social media can help you stay connected despite busy schedules, while also being another way to publicly praise.
