Retired Sussex County School Bus will help abused kids in North Carolina

Frank Eberhart is a former President of the Newton Rotary Club who now spends part of the year in North Carolina. He attends local Rotary Club meetings in North Carolina when he is there as well as meeting of the Newton Rotary Club when he is in Sussex County. While on a tour of Boys and Girls homes of North Carolina with the South Brunswick Islands Rotary Club Eberhart found out the organization that helps abused and neglected kids needed a school bus. That when he contacted current Newton Rotary Club President Denise Current. Who owns the Stocker Bus Company in Newton. She was all for the idea. Stocker Bus Company has donated "retired" school vehicles to other organizations in need. Representatives of the Boys and Girls homes of North Carolina picked up the bus yesterday after the monthly Newton Rotary Club meeting. The trip back to North Carolina will take about 14 hours.
