The rip tide must have been very strong. Every parent would risk their life to save their child. Yesterday morning a 59 year old man from Reading, Pennsylvania rushed into the ocean in Atlantic City when he saw his 11 year old son struggling. The boy made it back to the shore but his dad did not. Atlantic City police said retired police officer Jim Glorioso grabbed a boogie board ran into the water when he saw the 59 year old man go under. Atlantic City Beach Patrol and Firefighters pulled both men out of the water. Rescuers performed C.P.R. on the father and rushed him to the hospital, where he died. Glorioso was not injured.
