Franklin Pond breastfeeding mom settles lawsuit

Michelle Ayala has settled her lawsuit against the Borough of Franklin for $7,000.00, a written apology and a new sign at the Franklin Pond. Last summer Ayala sued the borough after she said officials tried to "chase" her off the Franklin Pond Beach for breastfeeding. A sign with the universal symbol for breastfeeding will be posted and maintained at the Franklin Pond Beach from now on. A $7,000.00 check for Ayala will be mailed to her attorney and Mayor Nick Giordano will sign a letter of apology provided by Ayala's attorney. The Franklin Borough Council voted 5 to 1 to approve the settlement this week. Councilman Gil Snyder was the only "no" vote. Ayala was represented by attorney James Guiliano.
