My "On the Road" Weekend in Pictures

I left my house at 3:30 in the morning on Friday and didn't return until 6 PM Saturday. My travels after work took me to our annual company Christmas Party in Poughkeepsie, New York and the home of two friends I've known for over 40 years in Northvale, New Jersey. I'll start with our company Christmas Party which was great as always. We all work hard here at I Heart Radio in New Jersey. Sometimes we get on each others nerves because leading up to the holidays it gets crazy. The great party we have at the end of it all is a chance to reset. I left Poughkeepsie Saturday morning and headed down the Thruway to visit my friends George and Eleanor in Northvale. I've known George for over 40 years. I was the best man when George and Eleanor got married in 1987. They have a very friendly and large pit bull named Hudson. I think he smelled Maddie on my clothes because he wanted to climb in my lap right away. George, El and I had a great lunch at their favorite Pub in Old Tappan and visited a historic site my dad took me to when I was in high school. The site where British spy Major John Andre was hung back in 1780 during the American Revolution. It's a tragic story because Andre's American captors grew to like and respect him while he was in custody. He accepted his death sentence bravely. Meanwhile, American traitor Benedict Arnold escaped as was protected by the British. Major Andre lost his life because the British would not turn over Benedict Arnold to the Americans. The site of Andre's execution is a few feet from New Jersey in Old Tappan, New York. I drove home from Northvale after lunch and was happy to relax with my family on Sunday. I finished Christmas Shopping and spent some quality time with Miss Gracie. Sunday night we even decorated some gingerbread cookies.
