New Veteran's Clinic almost ready in Port Jervis

There's a brand new veteran's clinic coming to the city of Port Jervis this month. The city's mayor Kelly Decker told Mid Hudson News the new facility is expected to open on January 20th. Veterans in the area will benefit from a brand new clinic that offers expanded services. The new clinic will be in the Port Plaza 100 Pike Street. In the 70's and 80's the shopping center was home to a Grant's, K-Mart and Great American store. Since I moved to nearby Matamoras, Pennsylvania almost 20 years ago I've watched the whole shopping center fall into disrepair. A few years ago a brand new Rite Aid (Now Walgreen's) was built on the property. Last year Save a Lot moved into where CVS Pharmacy used to be. Now there's a brand new veteran's clinic moving into where K-Mart and Great American used to be. The old shopping center that's walking distance from the Port Jervis Train Station is coming back to life. It's great to see!
