Father of 4-year-old NJ Boy Who Fatally Shot Himself Released From Jail

The father of a 4-year-old New Jersey boy who fatally shot himself has been released from jail. According to NJ.com, Andrew Mack was released from custody today after a first appearance by video in Burlington County Superior Court.

Mack was reportedly asleep in bed on February 7 with a 9-millimeter handgun next to him when his son Lincoln grabbed the gun and brought it into another room. The 4-year-old shot himself in the cheek and subsequently died at a hospital.

Mack is facing charges of endangering the welfare of a child and a disorderly persons offense.
