Coronavirus Update: N.J. N.Y. Pa.

This morning's New York Times is reporting the United States now has more Coronavirus cases than any other country in the world. That number is over 81,000 cases. After checking the number of cases in New York (37,258) and New Jersey (6,876) I realized more than half of our country's coronavirus cases are in New York and New Jersey at this moment. New York City has nearly 22,000 cases. Bergen, Essex and Hudson are closest to New York City. Those counties have the most cases in New Jersey. New Jersey has 81 coronavirus related deaths. Yesterday the Sussex County Health Department reported we have 47 cases. New York City is an hour away from Sussex County. This difference in the number of cases 22,000 vs. 47 tells me people who live in Sussex County should be staying out of New York City. But are they? Meanwhile, Pennsylvania now has 1,687 cases. Mostly around cities like Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. Pike County has 15 cases. Yesterday, Governor Murphy extended New Jersey's mandatory school closings to April 17th.
