New Jersey auto and motorcycle dealerships reopen today

New Jersey's economy will reopen a little bit more today as auto, motorcycle and bike dealerships can reopen for in person sales today. New car sales have plummeted since showrooms were closed back in March. On lines sales by auto dealers have been permitted for several weeks in New Jersey but it hasn't helped much. Thousands of car dealership employees across the state will be returning to work over the next few days. Governor's Murphy's decision to open showrooms comes one week after Governor Andrew Cuomo decided to allow by appointment sales in car dealerships across New York State. You should expect to wear a mask and practice safe social distancing when you visit any dealership. Dealerships will also be cleaning and sanitizing showrooms and vehicles as often as possible to keep customers safe. Many dealerships across New Jersey were caught off guard by the governor's announcement yesterday.
